Well no matter what, at the end of the day (or this series of articles) it all comes down to the money?’show Me The Money!’the Compensation Plan, this is huge, what is the point of going to the effort and risk of starting your own business if the reward barely keeps you in business? If you are providing an awesome product, an awesome system that anyone can duplicate, a marketing component that kicks butt and all you need to do is let people make up their own minds (no ’selling or convincing?) then the next questions are? What is the profit margin like??Is there residual income?… (not to be confused with MLM)Are their bonuses based on performance? Is the opportunity international in scope? Will your mentor get paid only if you successfully move product? All good questions and the answers are out there, you just need to ensure that the compensation plan allows you to get paid first (so there is no waiting to get paid by the company) that you make more than the company off of an individual sale and that when product is consumed and resold, you make money off of the customer again and again. Make sure your mentor will stick around (if for no other reason than financial motivation) and continue to assist you in building your business. And finally, you want to ensure that they opportunity is global in scope. 65% of the money made in Network Marketing Home Based Business comes from the global market. By leasing a used vehicle, you can obtain a luxury model car or an SUV at much lower monthly payments than are imposed when you buy a new one. However, you must do your homework in order to find the best deal available. When researching leasing costs, pay close attention to the initial market value and the estimated residual value of the used car you are considering. This value is more difficult to predict for used vehicles than for new ones because there is no “sticker price” as set by a factory on a used car. You can use a variety of sources to obtain a rough estimate of the used vehicle’s value, however. These include local dealerships and online car evaluation tools; a quick search on the Internet will find a host of these car evaluation tools and most are provided free of charge. You can also get a good estimate by comparing the lease on a used car to a lease on a new car of the same model and make. Used vehicle leasing is best when residual value has depreciated least. You’ll find better bargains at the luxury end of the vehicle market where cars retain their value better.Initial mileage and overall vehicle condition should be two other things to consider when leasing a used automobile. With a used car, the maximum mileage should total no more than 12,000 miles per year. A car that is three years old with 50,000 miles is not a good leasing deal. You should also examine a vehicle for worn fabric on the seats, worn pedal pads, or a dirty engine. These are signs of excessive use and might indicate a rolling back of the odometer. If the used car has not been certified, it should be inspected. You can ask the dealer for a certification program sponsored by the manufacturer or have it certified by a qualified service or mechanic. Most used-car lease arrangements do not include gap coverage. Gap coverage is a special kind of insurance that is usually offered on new-auto leases. It protects the consumer if the leased automobile is lost, damaged, or stolen. Car insurance policies usually only cover what the car is worth at the time of the loss or damage and not what you may still have owing on the lease. This difference could total thousands of dollars. Therefore, you shouldn’t consider a used-car lease that does not include gap coverage. This coverage can be arranged separately, either with the lease dealer or with your own car insurance company.

Your air duct system functions as the respiratory system of your home. When it becomes contaminated and congested, it should be cleaned so it can “breathe” normally and efficiently.
If you answer yes to any of the following questions, it may be time to have your air ducts cleaned.
-Does anyone in the house have allergies, asthma, or other respiratory problems?
-Does anyone in your family suffer from headaches, nasal congestion, or itchy eyes?
-Is there a smoker in the house?
-Do you have dogs, cats or other pets?
-Do you notice “musty” or “stale” odors when the furnace runs?
-Do you notice dust on your furniture shortly after cleaning?
-Does your furnace utilize a standard throw away filter?
Important Facts About Indoor Air Quality And Your Family’s Health!
The quality of the air we breathe indoors has become an increasingly important environmental concern. Following are facts that have been determined by recognized authorities in the fields of health and air quality:
-Most people spend 60-90% of their time indoors. (American Lung Association)
-50% of all illnesses are either caused by, or aggravated by, polluted indoor air. (American College of Allergists)
-The levels of some hazardous pollutants in indoor air has been found to be up to 70 times greater than in outdoor air.
-Studies have shown that two out of three indoor air quality problems involve the heating ventilation system.
-One out of six people who suffer from allergies do so because of the direct relationship to fungi and bacteria in air duct systems. (Total Health and Better Health Magazines)
-10-12 million Americans suffer from Asthma (American College of Allergists)
-Children and the elderly are especially affected by polluted indoor air. (Department of Consumer Affairs)
Dust, dirt, pollen, animal dander and other airborne contaminants are pulled into your air duct system every time the furnace runs. These contaminants build up inside the duct work over time and can help make your duct system an ideal breeding ground for mold spores, bacteria, fungus, mildew and other microbes. Each time the furnace is turned on, contaminants are spewed out and circulated throughout your home and affect the health and comfort of your family.
The removal of contaminants from the entire air duct system is recognized by industry experts as the most effective way to eliminate air duct pollutants.
The removal process is something that should never be attempted by the homeowner, as there is a huge risk associated with agitating the dust without completely extracting it. Always hire the services of a qualified air duct cleaning technician for the complete and safe removal of all ventilation system contaminants

For the average individual who knows little about cars or mechanics, buying a used car can be a worrying experience. Buying a car is often one of the biggest purchases we make in our lives and the nagging doubt of whether or not you are about to buy a lemon always makes buying a used car difficult. So how do you go about choosing a car that is unlikely to be a lemon?
If you have found a ?bargain? or a car you like the look of go check it out. At this stage it is always useful to take someone who knows something about cars with you if you can. If you haven’t got anyone whose opinion you can trust then you are going to have to use your own instincts.
Check for obvious accident damage. Accident damaged cars can be spotted by little tell tail signs. Look for signs of overspray to panels, bumpers and fittings, look for areas of paintwork that are inconsistent with the general condition of the car (these may indicate filled dents, filled rotten patches) and check that all the tyres are wearing evenly (uneven wear may indicate the car isn’t running straight and true as a result of a crash or poorly executed accident repair).
If you are happy there are no obvious clues to suggest accident damage check the general condition of the car for wear. Is the amount of wear consistent with the mileage of the car? Worn foot mats, shiny steering wheels and worn/damaged driver seats are not what you would expect to find on a low mileage car.
Does the car have missing interior fittings or scratched paint work? Would you expect a car you owned from new for a number of years to have accrued a similar amount of damage? Make a mental note of the amount of wear for bargaining purposes should you decide to buy the car.
Check the vehicle for rot in the doorways and wheel arches. A little rot can become a serious costly problem after as little as one year. A lot of rot, especially to structural areas of the car where panels and sections of the car come together could indicate the car is not safe to drive.
Once you have established the car looks to be cosmetically genuine and that the condition is as you would expect for the cars age start to look at the mechanics of the car. Check the oil on the dipstick. Are there bubbles in the oil? If there are bubbles this is a sure sign of water in the oil and likely to result in expensive repair. Check the water filler. Is there a white residue on the cap or visible in the filler area. This is an expensive sign of oil in the water. Check the oil filter (easy to spot, generally looks like a brightly painted tin can sticking out of the side of the engine) does it look to be recently fitted or like it has been on for some time. This is a standard part that is replaced at service and can indicate how the owner has been treating the car.
Start the motor up. Does the engine rattle or have a pronounced ticking noise or does it sound healthy? Is the exhaust loud or well silenced you don’t need to be paying for a new exhaust system. Once the engine has warmed go look at the exhaust. Are there large quantities of smoke, black or white being omitted? Both can indicate expensive faults. At this stage check to make sure headlamps, indicator and brake lights work.
If all seems fine the next step is a test drive. Check the steering. Is it light or vague, neither is a good sign. Does the wheel have a large amount of play in it? Steering is important for clear safety reasons. The steering should be responsive and direct. Neither to heavy nor light.
Check the brakes. Do they inspire confidence? They should pull the car firmly to a stop in a straight line without fading or feeling as if they are about to run out. Find a car park or space where you can turn the car on full lock in both directions. Do the front wheels grind or shriek? This could indicate expensive wheel bearing problems.
If you do not come across these problems then it is fair to say you have a solid used car that is unlikely to be a lemon. Now if you can recall all the little details you spotted you can use these points to bargain a good price and buy the used car with the confidence that you have avoided a lemon.

Get More Assignments by Covering Events
By David Geer
I attended a presentation 50 miles away. The speaker was an executive in the technology space, which is my primary beat. Days before, I started pitching ideas for coverage. I landed one assignment just before going, and another after.
While I’m waiting to hear about other pitches, I’m writing more. I can re-use my research and call the keynoter for additional interviews or follow-up questions. I expect to get several assignments. Many magazines have long lead times and will be happy to hear about the angles I can offer.
Get Announcements; Get Invited.
In my case, a PR Representative invited me. Though I’m not sure how I was found, I can tell you how I make sure I can be found. First, I get my listing up at sites where PR reps look. ProfNet – http://www.ProfNet.com and Media Personnel – http://www.mediapersonnel.com are two examples.
I also seek out PR reps. Go to http://www.google.com and search for [fill in your beat] “news release”. I might search for technology “news release”, for example. Click a release and select the PR rep’s e-mail link. Introduce yourself and ask to be put on their e-mail list. You can also search by company or organization and ask to receive event notices.
Skip the Press Pass.
1) Make arrangements through the PR rep who knows you.
2) Instead of asking if you’ll need a press pass, simply ask how they will know you.
3) Print out invitations, e-mail notifications and anything else to verify your expected arrival.
4) Get names of the people who will know you are coming.
5) If you pick up assignments beforehand, tell the PR rep to pass it on.
6) Carry business cards and clips; look the part, too.
7) If all this isn’t enough, try to get a press pass through a publication you’ve written for, or start out covering events within easy driving distance.
How to interest editors with the offer of event coverage:
1) Let them know you’re definitely going.
2) Make a list of reasons why (a) live coverage, (b) of this event, (c) by you, make your pitch more appealing than others.
3) Factor in the event coverage, a live topical interview or interviews, the topic presented and photos you might take.
4) Explain how interviewing in person makes for better interviews as it involves non-verbal communication, a personal touch and more trust on the part of the interviewee.
5) Know that personal interviewing demonstrates a relationship or better access, making you the better person for the job.
6) By investing in the project you are making a commitment to write a great piece.
What else should you do to reap the most assignments from events?
1) Get known as an expert reporter on the particular beat for events you’re looking for.
2) Make contact from time to time with the PR reps to ask what is coming up in your area. Your extra effort will often return an extra effort by the PR rep to notify you of something they may not have listed.
3) Learn as much as you can about the event speakers, topics, other happenings there, available interviews, related news and how other writers are taking advantage of the event, or whether you might have the only in-person coverage.
4) Make it clear to editors that you will be gathering a broad range of information that should be applicable to their publication. Even if they can’t respond before you attend, they will feel confident in giving you the assignment afterwards.
5) Make it clear that you will be able to get follow-up questions.
6) If an editor writes you declining because it is “too late”, share with them why it isn’t, if you believe they might still be interested.
7) Cement relationships made at events so you can leverage future invitations and interviews.

2006 was an action packed and exciting year for all of us in America, and around the world. The Apacalypse, as predicted by prophets, has never seemed so imminent.
Yesterday, here at Xomba, I made mention of the UFO reported at Chicago’s O’Hare Field. Since I received some interest in that article, today I shall expand!
Many of us had the pleasure, in 2006 of viewing the 20/20 presentation, “Last Days”. The show’s resolve was to analyze and discuss the 8 “Top Ways” that the world might end, in our lifetime, or ten thousand years down the road. They seemed fairly certain that 10,000 years was about the most we could hope for.
It was a devastating but optimistic look into everything from gamma ray bursts, in which a star in our galaxy collapses upon itself, emitting radiation greater than, for a small part of a second, all the other energy in the universe (such a burst would destroy all life on Earth, but hasn’t happened within the last several billion years, so is viewed as “unlikely”) to massive, super intelligent robot creatures of our own design, who might turn on us, and theoretically eliminate the Earthlings for their own diabolical purposes..
Another of the “ways” concerned itself with giant asteroids plunging through, like the one which whirled past closely, during the summer of 2006. An impact from an asteroid just larger than that recent close-call would be sufficient to end it all.
That same asteroid is due again 1n 2029 (Friday, April 13), to pass, even closer this time, within the orbits of our communication satellites. And oddly, the same asteroid will again pass, even closer, on April 13, 2036. They indicated, at 20/20 that there are currently enough scientists working on this dilemma to staff 1/5 the McDonald’s Fast Food restaurants in the world.
Well, my friend, if and when it does end, my personal hope is that we will finish with thankfulness, and decorum, utilizing all the positive virtues we have learned over the years, and in a way which we, looking back, might view as “beautiful” .
We might be thankful for the time we had. “I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!”
Where am I going with all this? I’m going to segue to one of my very favorite old blogs, “There might be a future for time travel.”
To wit:
There might be a future for time travel. Suppose for example that time is not, as we think, a constant flow from moment to moment, but rather a series of PULSES, as close and as rapid, in infinity, and as extreme to the imagination, as light is fast, and the universe is is vast; fast and close, and, perhaps, filled with moment! If these pulses could be uncovered, and studied, there might be a future for time travel.
Einstein, some say, was limited by his adherence to human preception as a basic unit. Since the speed of light is finite, the theory is that we could catch and overtake the light from past events, turn about, and look into the past! But this is not a real phenomenon, only an APPARENT phenomenon. It only SEEMS that we have traveled into the past.
Similarly, Doctor Einstein, suggests an OVAL Shaped Universe, quite finite, and conceivable. Again, he is held back by his humanity.
Time. There was no beginning to time, it’s an absolute. It was ALWAYS there! Go back as far as you can… only the beginning!! The Universe was ALWAYS here! And to the future, will time end? NO! It goes on, never ending, forever.
And such is Space. The potential for measurement, and occupation – it doesn’t end. Try to imagine the farthest reaches that light, or man’s imagination could ever reach. Let your imagination run wild, go to the farthest reaches, the Einsteinian edge; at this point, perhaps no stars, no black holes, no matter, only space! How can there be an edge? Space is an absolute! What’s on the other side? More of the same!
I once told someone what I thought about the beginning of the Universe. No Big Bangs, no Black Holes but rather, unlimited space, filled with simple hydrogen atoms. Where the hydrogen atoms came from is anyone’s guess. Over unimaginable millenia, odd, non-conforming hydrogen atoms, collided with similar anomalies, over time , forming all matter, and all energy.
Here’s to a great 2007!

The only way to guarantee a sure-fire win for yourself when gambling is if you could place a bet on a 100% certainty carrying a 100% commitment of being paid when you win. Let’s face it though – that scenario will never arise in your entire lifetime!
Now, before we discuss ?betting to win? in more detail, let’s begin by examining what a ?bet? actually is. To be able to bet requires two parties: the party placing the bet and the party accepting the bet. A bet is a gamble based on the possibility of a particular event occurring or having occurred. Note that not all gambles are bets. This is because the phrase “to take a gamble” generally means to risk something valuable in order to gain something of even greater value, and where the outcome is uncertain to some degree or other. A gamble need not involve another party, but a bet most certainly does.
For example, you gamble not-so-obviously (and do not bet) whenever you lay out money in the simple hope of retaining your wealth (such as buying a house or putting your savings into a higher paying deposit account) and rather more obviously when you attempt to increase your wealth by investing in shares (again not a bet) or by participating in sports betting. As you can see, therefore, all the foregoing are forms of gambling, no matter that some people may attempt to draw dividing lines between them to make their preferred form of gambling more socially acceptable.
Each type of gamble has its own unwritten rules attached, all of which need to be both understood and followed if the specific gambling objective is to be achieved. The main point here is that a bet is just one particular form of gambling, and it’s only the degree of risk that varies from one gamble to another.
When it comes to gambling on the outcome of sporting events, every well-balanced person will readily acknowledge that it is not worth risking all their funds on one single bet, as they could very easily end up with no funds at all. This principle applies whether or not the odds are in the bettor’s favour.
It seems that a majority of bettors would be happy to achieve a small overall return on their bets by the end of a sporting season, generally because the alternative is to sail too close to the wind too often and be in constant danger of losing their entire bank. The sad truth, though, is that most bettors fail to achieve even that modest aim, mainly because their betting is not based on sound principles.
All too often, bets are placed on “gut feel”, and frequently for wildly varying stakes (as opposed to “fixed” (or ?level?) stakes, without proper assessment of the chances of winning, or without adequate consideration as to how a loss will affect the bettor’s bank. Consequently, at the end of each season, the majority of football bettors are poorer than when they started. In view of this, I am now going to make what I consider to be the single most important statement in respect to “Betting to Win”:
To achieve even a modest return on your bets, you need to develop a worthwhile Betting Strategy for yourself.
A worthwhile Betting Strategy incorporates both a reliable Selection System and a sound Staking Plan. You can’t buy a good Betting Strategy, although it may well be true that the individual components themselves can be purchased. Both the acceptance of the need for a worthwhile Betting Strategy and the will to apply it properly must emanate from within you. Once you have acknowledged that satisfying such a need is vital to your betting success, you then have to work hard at (i) finding a good Selection System and (ii) deciding upon an appropriate Staking Plan that best suits your particular style and budget (and which won’t bankrupt you – because many have the potential to do so).
As playing roulette will show you (because inherently it doesn’t allow the possibility of a Selection System to operate, since any given number or colour can come up at any time), very few Staking Plans on their own will consistently allow you to increase the amount you started with (meaning that you are simply in the hands of Lady Luck on the night).
So that you can emerge as a winner, I strongly recommend that you should approach football betting just as seriously as you would when investing in shares or a house purchase. In respect to the latter, remember that the three prime considerations to ensure a first-class investment are Location, Location and Location. This means that if location fails on any single point, you have not found a “star” property. There is a very similar rule applicable to betting: before you gamble, the three most important considerations should be Selection, Selection and Selection!

Nissan Motor Co. earlier announced that early next decade it will be introducing fuel-cell technology for the vehicles in Japan and North America. This new venture by the automaker is part of its midterm environmental strategy dubbed as ?Nissan Green Program 2010.”
Toshiyuki Shiga, Nissan chief operating officer said that the company will introduce gasoline engine technologies that will enhance fuel economy and at the same time reduce carbon dioxide emissions equivalent to diesel engine levels. These car technologies will be introduced to the automotive market starting from the fiscal year 2010.
Nissan will also unveil new fuel-cell vehicle with sophisticated fuel stack. Said vehicle will be produced in-house after 2010. Shiga divulged that this new vehicle is aimed at showcasing performance on par with gasoline-power automobiles.
A fuel cell is an electrochemical energy conversion device. It differs from batteries in the sense that the latter are intended for incessant replenishment of the reactants consumed. Further, fuel cells generate electricity from an external supply of fuel and oxidant unlike batteries which have limited internal energy storage capacity. Additionally, fuel cell automobiles run on the power generated when oxygen in the air mixes with hydrogen in the fuel tank. Moreover, the technology produces water vapor, which is not harmful to the environment.
Shiga added that the company intends to concentrate on the internal combustion engine as Nissan’s primary power source. The automaker also intends to improve engine efficiency to blend well with Nissan accessories. In addition, Mitsuhiko Yamashita, Nissan’s executive vice president for research and development said, “To develop vehicles that are truly environmentally friendly, we need to make significant advances in internal combustion technology while working on electrical power sources in parallel.”
Shiga further noted that Nissan intends to develop a “three-liter car,” which can travel 100 kilometers or 60 miles using 3 liters or about 3 quarts of gasoline. This car is expected to be introduced to the auto industry in 2010.
Carlos Tavarez, Nissan’s executive vice president for product planning and corporate strategy said, ?If you have to compensate for the cost of new technologies, you’ll find that (gasoline) is very high performance for small cars in terms of balancing the costs for the customer in terms of fuel efficiency. You get high performance and low mileage.”
The automaker will also unleash a 100% bioethanol fuel-ready vehicle intended for the Brazilian market by 2009. It will also introduce an electric vehicle starting in Japan early next decade.

For millions of people allergies are something they
think they have to live with. Similarly many people
believe the only way to treat allergies is with
medication. For some people that may be true, however
for many people vitamins are a solid alternative to
medication.
In either case, vitamins can provide a great benefit
to the allergy sufferer and should be considered and
discussed with your physician. Although they may not
completely cure your allergies they may allow you to
reduce the amount of medication you take, or in some
cases may allow you to stop taking medication
altogether.
Below is a list of some of the most common and most
beneficial vitamins used to treat and manage symptoms
suffered by those with allergies.
* Copper (Amino Acid Chelate): Crucial to the
formation of T-cells and is an essential component of
Super Oxide Dismutase, an antioxidant that fights free
radial damage to the mitochondria, which are the
energy producing portion of the cells in your body.
* Vitamin C (Ascorbate): Is shown to decrease
production of histamine, reducing immediate allergy
potential, also helps to relieve allergic symptoms and
prevent inflammatory reactions, provides an effect
like that of an antihistamine and assists in
production of adrenal hormones needed to combat the
stress that the body suffers which is imposed by
allergic reactions.
* Magnesium (Citrate): Considered the anti-stress
mineral. Buffers the acidic stage of an allergic
reaction. Required in many of the body’s
detoxification pathways. May reduce the
broncho-constrictor in asthma by relaxing the muscles
around the bronchial tubes.
* Selenium (Amino Acid Chelate): Protects cell
membranes and stimulates immune function, enhances
function of Vitamin C within the body, increases the
B-cell antibody response and is essential in the
body’s production of Coenzyme Q10.
* Vitamin B15: Helps to increase endurance and
decrease muscle fatigue.
* Molybdenum (Amino Acid Chelate): Enhances the body’s
use of sulfur amino acids, also enhances the cells’
ability to utilize Vitamin C and detoxifies sulfites
and aldehydes.
* Calcium (Citrate): Helps the body regulate its
acid/alkaline balance in tissues, helps to buffer the
acidic stage of an allergic reaction and reduces
histamine production.
The vitamins listed above do not necessarily all need
to be taken by each and every allergy sufferer. You’ll
want to make a list of the vitamins listed above and
discuss with your physician which of them would be the
most beneficial given the allergies that you have.
Although adding vitamins to your diet may not
completely alleviate your allergy suffering, a healthy
body is the best defense against allergies, and many
other conditions. Taking vitamins such as those listed
above in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise
routine will undoubtedly make a positive impact on
your life.
