One of the toughest job to be done is to wire an amplifier it takes a lot of time and patience to complete it. The job can be simplified if there is a manual or a set of instruction available about it. The part that makes other boring about this is that in this job there is a lot of chances for making a mistake. Because of a lot of wiring connection, the job will be tiresome. A wiring kit in hand can be very useful because it contains all the wires needed that too in the required size and also the color code for the wires are pre marked. This reduces the time taken to complete the whole job. The most important thing about the kit is that in many cases the cost of the kit is less when compared to the total cost of all components and also we don’t need to waste time searching every component. But how to install an amp kit?

This article lists all the things that are required for installing the amp kit and the instructions to install an amp kit. The things that are required are adjustable wrench, drill, screw driver, soldering gun and wire stripper. The battery is first disconnected before starting any wiring work. It is disconnected by detaching the negative terminal first followed by the positive terminal.

The things needed to do this job are wire stripper, soldering gun , drill which is optional, a wrench that is adjustable and a screw driver. Keep these things ready before starting the work . Let us look at the steps in detail.

The end of the power wire is hold nearest to the fuse holder which is under the hood. The other end of the power wire is fed into the hole drilled in the heat shield. The wire is fed continuously along the side of the car till the rear seats are reached. The wire is further fed under the rear seats through the small gaps till it reaches the trunk. From the trunk the wire is taken to the positive terminal of the amplifier. End of the wire is stripped and it is connected to the positive terminal of the amplifier.

The next step would be to use screw drivers to loosen the tight fitting of the panels on the doors of the car. This should be done in two sides of the car where there are door frames. The power wire has two ends. One end is connected with the hole and the other to the holder of the fuse. The power wire is run continuously until paneling is found and reached. It can even be made to pass under the carpets. After trunk of the car is reached the power wire is connected with the positive terminal of amps. While doing this ensure the connection is tight and firm. Make it tighter using screw driver when connection is made after stripping of end of the power wire

Small remote wire is connected to the remote output at the back of the receiver which is blue in color. Twist them together to connect each other and use electric tape for safety. The wire is run alongside and connected between the negative and positive terminals. The speaker wires are connected to the speakers and the amplifier. One end of the speaker wire is connected to the amplifier’s positive speaker wire. The other end is connected to the speaker’s positive terminal. Panelling screws are tightened provided the wires running underneath are not damaged.

Now the speakers are connected to the amplifier through wires and the wires are connected in the amplifier based on the terminals. Later all the screws are tightened for a secure system. The fuse is removed from its place and the power wires are connected. After this the fuse is replaced back in its position.
